More than 40 presidents and heads of government, and 2500 leaders from around the planet attended the 46th World Economic Forum (WEF) 2016 annual meeting. The conference, which was held in Davos-Kloster, Switzerland, discussed about “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
Among the leaders present was Vijay Eswaran. The executive shaped the discussions by talking about “Building Mindful Organization.” He discussed about the different ways that QNET’s parent company has been mindful of the everyday corporate world. In addition, Vijay deliberated on the corporation’s founding principles of service above self, truth and care. The WEF is an annual event held in Davos. All leaders of the world come together to deliberate about future innovations and make decisions on different policies.
According to Qbuzz, Vijay Eswaran was the only Malaysian participant having a private company. He was invited to the conference by virtue of being a member of the Advisory Board of Global Growth Companies. Participants included almost 300 public figures and members of different Forum communities, including young global leaders, technology pioneers, global shapers and social entrepreneurs. In addition, there were 1,500 business leaders from 1,000 members of the Forum.
Vijay Eswaran left corporate America and returned to Asia to start his entrepreneurial journey. The successful businessman founded QI Group of companies. The multi-million dollar conglomerate has provided clients with different innovative products and services.
In addition, Vijay is an accomplished motivational speaker, philanthropist and best-selling author. He has been going around the world lecturing on different topics.
His philanthropic activities centers on women empowerment, education and youth development around the globe. He contributes to different charities through his two foundations. In 2011, Forbes Asia recognized his charitable efforts by listing him in its annual list of Heroes of Philanthropy.
In addition, Vijay has been the recipient of the lifetime achievement award in Regional Philanthropy. The Asian Strategic Leadership Institute, a renowned independent think tank, based in Malaysia, presented him with the prestigious award.
He also received the International Leader in Global Business Strategies Award from GOPIO (the Global Organization for People of Indian Origin).
Vijay Eswaran credits his success to his wife and like-minded partners. He says that when he was starting his business, no one thought that he would succeed. This is because Asia was still recovering from effects of the economic crisis. Today, he is one of the most respected entrepreneurs around the planet.
